David Winchester, the maker of these prints, showed up on April fool’s day 1949, and from an early age enjoyed fooling around with the family cameras. His father, an amateur photographer, had set up a darkroom, which David took over in his teen years. At present a computer has replaced the darkroom, and while the images produced have their origin in both film and digital cameras, the final prints sometimes range far from “photographic truth”. The images are inkjet or giclee and should last more than 50 years depending on storage conditions. All are available in a three sizes to fit 8.5 x11, and 13x19 matte finish paper. Image sizes are somewhat smaller to accommodate a white border with title and signature. There are no numbered editions as the “artist?” printmaker would rather have his works continuously available to all who would desire them. All images are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without written permission. David lives in Wolfeboro, NH with his wife and daughter, and assorted cats.
