Mast Landing Boats

"I grew up and continue to spend my summers on lake Wentworth. My family has owned a camp on Triggs Island since the early nineteen hundreds, so I condsider myself a local artist during the summer months. 'Home is where the heart is' and even though my legal residence is in Rhode Island, my heart can and will always be found in New Hampshire. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1993 from Rhode Island College and a Master of Fine Arts in 1996 from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Both degrees are in painting.

Art, for me, is an important source of communication. It helps me show the world a little piece of my inner being which is dazzled by nature's beauty. I love the way the light dances on, over, through, around, under, and in all of the physical constitutions of nature. I like the mist rising from the lake in the early morning, the circles left by rain drops when hitting the lake, the way that the wind bends the trees and moves the water, the shapes created by the natural landscape and the multitude of vibrant color nature mixes every day. I love all visual aspects of nature and try to portray some of her poetry in my work using design as my so called sentence structure. When someone likes one of my paintings i feel like I have communicated these "loves" with them on a special level.
